This is still a good thing to do with a power plant to stop them getting to you so quick from the sea, but a better method is to place buildings with a repair radius, so the radius covers the prospector. This way if/when you get attacked it will be instantly repaired and your enemy will lose the drone.

One thing you do have to be aware of is the secondary ability, which will lock down the refinary, but if you get a tank, turret, or some infrantry out you can relatively easily kill the drone, you definatly wont loose the harvister tho.

One possibility is to have a tank neer a choke point to you base, maybe at the back neer the water to attrackt the drones. You could then either kill them off or if it gets infected, repair it.
